On the afternoon of March 26, the Institute of Energy and the First Affiliated Hospital of USTC jointly held the 2nd Medicine-Engineering Collaborative Innovation Forum. Academician Li Jiangang, President of the Institute of Energy, attended the forum and presided over a cooperation exchange meeting. Yin Dalong, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Southern Campus of the First Affiliated Hospital of USTC, led the heads, experts and professors from relevant departments of the hospital to participate in the forum, and President of Chengdu New Radiomedicine Technology Co., Ltd. was invited.
At the forum, the work carried out by the two sides after the first collaborative innovation forum was reported. The relevant research team of Institute of Energy and Chengdu New Radiomedicine Technology Co., Ltd. introduced the latest scientific research achievements in the medical field. The First Affiliated Hospital of USTC put forward relevant technical demands and cooperation intentions. The two sides conducted in-depth discussions on further deepening cooperation and reached specific cooperation intentions. Secretary Yin Dalong said that the First Affiliated Hospital will continue to deepen cooperation with the Institute of Energy, hoping that the achievements of the Institute will be applied and popularized in hospitals as soon as possible. Academician Li Jiangang asked the two sides to further enhance the connection, identify the cooperation points from the perspective of technological advancement and economic feasibility, draw up the timetable and road map, and strive for substantive progress as soon as possible. After the forum, the participants inspected the development area for medical equipment prototypes such as plasma sterilization, BNCT and 7T MRI.
